An X user's post about a man turning into a goose farmer after 22 years at Microsoft has gone viral. According to the man's LinkedIn profile, he chose this new career after being fired from the tech company.
“Quited from Microsoft after 22 years just to become a goose farmer,” wrote X user Smarika Malviya while sharing the screenshot of the LinkedIn profile of the man named Feng Yuan.
According to Yuan's LinkedIn profile, he is from Washington, USA. The first experience listed in his profile is as a professor at Nanjing University in China, where he worked for almost four years. The second experience shows his almost eight-year career as a “senior software engineer” at Hewlett-Packard.
According to his profile, he then moved to Microsoft, where he worked for 22 years and four months. His current job is “goose farmer” and he has been doing it for 11 months.
In a post on LinkedIn about 10 months ago, Yuan shared that he was fired from his position at the tech company. “I was just fired from Microsoft today due to so-called poor performance from #Microsoft. I'm very proud of my work at Microsoft, so I have no problem sharing the information with the world. Thank you for your belief and support in me. To everyone on the other side: A bigger thank you goes to my wife, now I can spend more time with her. Our geese and chickens would also be happier,” he wrote.

Since the tweet was shared a day ago, it has racked up nearly two million views — and the numbers continue to climb. The share has also garnered nearly 1,500 likes. People posted different comments while reacting to the post.
